Who we are

NP Brow Design/Wedding Makeup by Nicola are committed to maintaining trust and confidence for our website visitors, so when you visit us, you know any information you give us is used for the purposes of our business only. We do not sell, trade or market any information to any third party organisations.  Within this Privacy Policy contains information regarding what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and kept secure.

Types of Data We Collect

Personal Information

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name ("Personal Information"). Upon your first appointment with NP Brow Design/Wedding Makeup by Nicola, we collect personal information. We obtain this information on a consent and contractual basis.  The information that we collect from you is used to contact you if required, to establish the suitability of any treatments and to advise you about services, which we offer from which you have shown an interest. We do not trade any e-mail lists or sell them to any third party organisations.

Google Analytics

NP Brow Design/Wedding Makeup by Nicola uses Google Analytics to find out information regarding the number of visitors to our website, and their geographical information and demographic and behaviours.  This is done each time someone visits www.npbrowdesign.co.uk, and the way that the data is analysed and processed is completely anonymous, no users are identified. Ourselves, and Google have made and will continue to make no attempts to establish the identity of people who visit our website.

Who we share information with

We may  share your personal information with any member of our business including freelancers for the interest of business operation.

Retaining and Deleting Personal Data

We only collect and retain relevant personal data.  This shall not be kept for longer than it is necessary for that purpose, or those purposes.    

Any data collected directly through the website enquiry form is held on our websites secure Content Management System.

Any emails received through any email addresses provided are stored on our internal email system until such time they are deleted.

 Any Health Questionnaires and Client Contracts are kept in a secure locked filing system on the premises.

Access to your Personal Information

You are entitled to view, amend or delete any personal information that we may hold at any time. 

Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint on how we have handled your personal data then please email info@npbrowdesign.co.uk or info@weddingmakeupbynicola.co.uk and we will investigate the matter.  If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this Privacy Notice  

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

1. Definitions

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form

Makeup Artist: Nicola Peen (Wedding Makeup by Nicola)

The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee

The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed in the booking agreement

The event: Relates in principal to the date whereby the event or the wedding takes place. 

The party: Additional members of the bridal party 

2. Securing the booking of the event

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid the £50 non-refundable booking fee to the makeup artist.

Arranging a trial does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event.

Once your booking fee is received along with a signed copy of the terms & conditions and booking form you will be contacted to confirm that your day is booked. Until these are received your booking cannot be guaranteed. Wedding Makeup by Nicola only works with one bridal party on any one day, unless another one is booked locally and one is a morning and one is late afternoon.

Events from May – September are subject to a three person minimum booking

3. Payment

Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.

The £50 non-refundable booking fee paid by the client is taken off the total fee.

The remaining balance is to be paid in full by the client no later than 28 days before the event.

Failure to pay the fee within the stated time will result in the event being released.

Any late bookings (within 4 weeks of the wedding day) will need to be paid in full at the time of trial.  

4. Trials 

A trial date and time will be arranged up to 6 months prior to your wedding day. Unless you request otherwise.
On the day of your trial we will try different styles/colours of make-up.
All brides requiring make-up are expected to have a trial. If people requiring make-up do attend a trial without consent from Wedding Makeup by Nicola, a surcharge will be required.
If you require friends or family to watch during your trial Wedding Makeup by Nicola asks that no more than one other person is present, as it usually results in too many views and ideas, and the important person 'you' ends up very confused with all the ideas. If you wish more people to see you after your trial that's fine but allow 2/3 hours from the start of your trial.
Trials usually take up 2/3 hours for the bride’s make-up, additional appointment time will be needed if the rest of the bridal party require a trial.  

5. Safety  

Wedding Makeup by Nicola requests that animals are kept from the working area whilst the trial or actual wedding day is taking place. Young children must be supervised by an adult and are not the responsibility of Wedding Makeup by Nicola. This is due to chemicals and products which could cause them irritation/danger, and it ensures trials are carried out in a calm and comfortable environment for the bridal party.  

6. Responsibility of the client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any known condition. 

The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior.

Cancellations

Cancellations made by you will result in the loss of your booking fee.
If you wish to cancel your booking once the trial has taken place, eight weeks notice from the day of your trial is required.
Cancellations after your trial with less than eight weeks notice from the date of your wedding will be required to pay 100% of the remaining balance owed.
The client can cancel a trial at any point however a trial cancelled with less than 24hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.

In the event that Wedding Makeup by Nicola is unable to make the booking due to illness or any personal emergency, we will try to find a replacement make-up artist that comes highly recommend.
Cancellation by Wedding Makeup by Nicola prior to your trial will result in your full deposit refund; Cancellation by Wedding Makeup by Nicola prior to your wedding day or on your wedding day will result in full refund of actual day and 50% of trial fee.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the makeup artist where possible the makeup artist will endeavor to rectify such situations however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist part. It is strongly advised you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.

Date changes
Wedding Makeup by Nicola requires a minimum of three months notice if your circumstances change and you wish to change the date of your wedding. This request must be in writing from you.
Wedding Makeup by Nicola cannot promise it will be possible to move your booking if you change the day due to other weddings. Deposits are non-refundable. If trials have already taken place prior to this it is non-refundable.

Photography

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artists website and social media pages.

Travel Expenses

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking this is to include should it be required congestion charging and parking charges.

All bookings are subject to mileage charges if they are outside of a 20 mile radius of the ME16 postcode, this includes trials. Charges are set at 45p per mile each way. 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are only refundable if cancelled via email sent to info@weddingmakeupbynicola.co.uk or info@npbrowdesign.co.uk within 14 days of purchase. Refunds will be issued within 7 days of receipt of cancellation.

Bookings for gift voucher services are to be made via email to info@weddingmakeupbynicola.co.uk or info@npbrowdesign.co.uk and are confirmed via email by the Company.

Once a date has been reserved for the gift voucher service it can only be amended once and the amendment must be received via email to info@weddingmakeupbynicola.co.uk or info@npbrowdesign.co.uk at least 2 weeks before the start of the service, otherwise the gift voucher is deemed null and void by the Company.

Terms & Conditions  

Each client booked is required to read the full terms and conditions above.
 

You are required to sign and date a copy returning it to Wedding Makeup by Nicola before your trial date.
 

Without a signed and dated copy of the terms and conditions, booking form and paid booking fee, this could result in the cancellation of your booking.
